Our mission is to educate the population of the Triad and beyond to the rich Scottish history of North Carolina through the use of the Great Highland Bagpipe and the Scottish Drums. We are a competition band that travels throughout the Southeast to Highland Games, festivals, and parades. We are also a teaching band and invite all who are interested to contact us about learning to play the bagpipe or drum.
![]() We practice on Thursday evening at Jamestown United Methodist Church, which is located at 403 E. Main Street, Jamestown, NC, 27282. We start at 6:30 and go until 8:30-9:00. Learn to Play the Pipe and DrumJamestown is a teaching band, and we realized many years ago the importance of passing along the knowledge that we've acquired as pipers and drummers. The band has benefited by this policy, for so many of our students have become supportive members and even leaders of the organization. Performing with the BandJamestown is family oriented band. We travel and even camp together at the various games we attend thought the year. Jamestown Pipes and Drums have both a Grade 4 and Grade 5 competition bands. Although we do compete, our main focus is to establish a really good fun and exciting band for anyone to be a part of. . We are always looking for new members.
